What is RECESS?

The Pitch

Support your fellow students as they compete for the chance turn their brilliant startup ideas into viable businesses. Watch as they go head-to-head against other teams from the region and make their pitch to a panel of esteemed judges. The winner will be flown out to the RECESS Field Trip in Los Angeles, where they will get the opportunity to pitch to some of the biggest VCs and investors in the nation.

The After Party

Work hard. Play hard. After the Regional Pitch Semi-Finals, celebrate the teams' success with a free concert featuring Giraffage w/ Amtrac. Your student ID gets you priority entry. Don't miss your chance to catch one of the hottest names in music!

Things to know

Do i have to be a student to attend?

No, you do not have to be a college student to attend. College students will have priority entry when they show their college ID.

is this an All ages event?

You must be 18 years of age or older to attend.

does the event cost money to attend?

No, the event is free as long as you RSVP.

am i guaranteed entry with my rSVP?

We wish we could hook everyone up, however entry will be granted on a first come basis. RSVP does not guarantee entry
